Indonesia’s largest mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) continues to receive strong results from its simulation based training program with additional products and services purchased from the industry’s leading supplier of Advanced Equipment Simulators, Immersive Technologies.

Pama, a subsidiary of PT United Tractors, produced over 68 million tonnes of coal in 2009 and has a workforce in excess of 20,000. This most recent simulator purchase included a transportable base simulator, Komatsu truck equipment

module and a five year support package.

With four Immersive Technologies Advanced Equipment Simulators already in operation at sister sites Adaro, Bontang, Cliungsi and Sangatta, Pama’s most recent purchase at its Kideco site provides additional capacity for the company to reach its target of safely and effectively training 2000 equipment operators annually.

To reach this significant target, Pama has also purchased Immersive Technologies’ new ‘Training Systems Integration  (TSI)’ service, which provides mine sites with a detailed and practical roadmap for simulation training application based on global best practises.

The consultative package includes site visits by specialised application engineers, training curriculums and set of practical resources to ensure sites gain maximum return on their investment.
