Immersive Technologies has recently been subject to individuals impersonating our company to offer fake employment opportunities.
These scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated and may come in the form of phone calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages, or emails. In some cases, scammers pretending to be from Immersive Technologies have arranged Teams meeting interviews for fake job opportunities including requesting personal and banking information.
Immersive Technologies follows formal recruitment processes for the hiring of new employees. We would never arrange a Teams meeting with potential candidates without first conducting a formal screening and shortlisting process. Communication during this process would never be via SMS or WhatsApp, and we would never ask you to send money or provide your personal or bank details.
If you receive contact via SMS, WhatsApp, or email, from someone claiming to be from Immersive Technologies, please treat this as highly suspicious. We would never use email addresses from services that include Gmail, Outlook, Blueyonder, or Yahoo. Our official email addresses always include “@immersivetechnologies.com”.
